About Us

Coin Concede is a podcast about Hearthstone. Hosts Edelweiss, WickedGood  and Magesa cover everything Hearthstone related including news in the scene, tournament results and highlights, and Decksplanations breakdowns covering topics both general and specific. If you’re a casual player just starting out or a seasoned multi-legend player looking for an edge or good conversation, there are many things to enjoy about this podcast. They make the competitive side of the game more accessible to you!

Hosts

Edelweiss

Edelweiss grew up in a very competitive family and started playing Magic: The Gathering as a way to spend time with her older brother. She has been playing Hearthstone since its release, eventually making it her main game over Magic. Her deep desire to play off meta leads her to try out a lot of crazy ideas before a need to win finally brings her to pilot the most aggressive meta deck to Legend. After a string of tournament success in 2018 she guested on the show multiple times to discuss the importance of women’s tournaments and representation in gaming. She is also the resident weeb on the show, and would love to talk to you about your favorite Isekai and who is best girl.

WickedGood

WickedGood started playing card games in high school after his parents refused to let him get a Super Nintendo, and a $12 Magic: the Gathering starter deck was an easier sell. After getting into Hearthstone during Blackrock Mountain, he started collecting decklists from tournaments to teach himself Python, which evolved into Off Curve, where he publishes deck lists and statistics for the Hearthstone tournament scene. He is also a broken human who enjoys playing control decks, and your hatred of Priest only makes him stronger.

Magesa

A lover of card games, board games, and roleplaying games of all stripes, Magesa (mah-GEY-sah) got into Hearthstone in 2015. After amusing herself for years with ineffective homebrew combos and value piles lacking win conditions, she got more into the competitive side of the game and reached legend during the pandemic. Once a control priest player, she came to believe that the best defense is a good offense and to embrace Anduin’s shadow side. After discovering the Coin Concede podcast and becoming a regular on the Discord, she fell in love with the community’s enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication to growth. Magesa achieved a brief shining moment of glory when she took the Coin Concede listener series crown, won games against players with gold card backs, and placed in the Americas top 300 all in the same month. Of all her Hearthstone accomplishments, however, Magesa is most proud of being asked to guest on and then cohost Coin Concede. Magesa brings to the show her proactive mindset and her sensibility as a teacher. She hopes that through the show and community she can help others enjoy and grow their skills in Hearthstone!

Cora Georgiou

After playing Hearthstone since open beta, Cora has experience from both the casual and competitive sides of the game. Coming from a background in Yugioh, Cora has a passion for card games and has reaches legend consistently. She has recently shifted her focus to tournament casting as a member of the team for the Hearthstone Championship Tour. When not playing Hearthstone, Cora studies Broadcast Communication. Like her battle tag suggests, Cora is also an avid singer and musician who serenades her stream viewers during Hearthstone ladder sessions. Hosts Emeritus

RidiculousHat

Hat is a source of many things – mostly opinions, puns, and food pictures – but is also the show’s producer as well as one of the hosts. Not only that, but he’s a “casually competitive” Hearthstone player – while he hasn’t participated in many tournaments, he’s hit legend over 25 times and regularly shares keen insights on the game.

Botticus

Coming from a competitive card game background, Botticus found the podcast a few years back as a community member. After sharking one of the show’s Listener Series tournaments, he came on as a guest and fit in so well that he stuck around. Bott’s passion for gaming extends beyond Hearthstone, and you can often hear him talk about his history with Magic: The Gathering or his love for Slay the Spire – but nothing matches his passion for arguing about cards, hating on Demon Hunter, or hoping for a good Shaman deck to come around so he can win with the power of totems.
